A couple of months ago now I was fortunate to complete a Vedic Mediation course with Jonni Pollard. This will be a memorable experience and a turning point that I will cherish forever.
You might be wondering what Vedic Meditation is? The Vedic Meditation Technique (VMT) is a simple, easy to learn mental technique, that enables the mind and body to fall into a profoundly deep state of rest in a very short period of time. With regular practice, accumulated stresses and fatigue are dissolved, restoring the mind and body to their naturally vital, healthy and dynamic states.
The clarity and balance I am beginning to feel already has been profound. I can’t even begin to fathom the heightened consciousness and awareness I will feel in six, twelve, twenty four months time and beyond, something I am very much looking forward to. In saying that I am appreciating and loving each meditation experience I am currently having, each experience is totally different which is beautiful.
Completing a Vedic Meditation course has been a dream of mine for the past three years, it’s the beginning of a new heightened consciousness and awareness of myself and nature, which I am so grateful for and ready to delve into. I highly recommend this experience to anyone, it would suit those who have never meditated before right up to those who already have a daily meditation practice in place.
My soul has been giving me guidance for the past couple of years, saying it’s important for me to meditate daily, it’s something I have known for some time, but for whatever reason I haven’t been consistent with a daily practice. Intuition is so powerful when we listen and trust it. Sometimes this isn’t easy, our younger self/ego is very strong, determined and stubborn when it wants to be. Don’t you worry my younger self/ego still plays games with me often.
From day one of the course I went home and journaled, my soul expressed in beautiful words how my new practice will be a part of my daily life from this day forward. My intuition spoke so clearly in those exact words, with such grace and love from my heart. Meditation is a way of life for me now, I am so grateful and I am proud of it.
The top 5 benefits I have identified through my Vedic Meditation practice so far:
1. Better sleep and more energy.
2. I feel more grounded within myself. I can hear my intuition very clearly, it also helps us detach from our ego to connect with others in more meaningful ways.
3. Reduced stress levels.
4. Purifies my mind by making it calm and more alert.
5. Physically and mentally refreshed.
My great friend and meditation teacher Jonni teachers Vedic Meditation privately, in his private practice in Brighton, Victoria, Australia. If you are interested in learning Vedic Meditation click here and send me an email and I will put you in contact with Jonni personally.
Tune in, what is your soul telling you that you need right now? Is meditation something that you feel you will benefit from? If there is a block, journal through this, get guidance of where your block is coming from and open yourself up to the possibility of shifting that blocked energy, what that would mean for you and how would that change your life?
Some powerful words from Jonni – “Mediation opens up the gateway to self-awareness that enables people to be more empowered to determine their health and wellbeing,” he says, “rather than being at the whim of this invisible monster, which is what anxiety is described as.” – Jonni Pollard (The Weekly Review).
My wish is for you to enjoy your meditation experience just as much as I have.
I would love to hear in the comments below about your meditation experiences. Remember your shares will help others also.
Sending you so much love always.
