In my work over the years, I’ve learned a lot about myself and the powers I hold inside. Next to intuition, faith is one of the most important elements that each of us is capable of using to create change and abundance in our lives.
You have probably heard that faith is “evidence of things not seen,” and this definitely applies to the process of improving your life. When we make changes, whether to our bodies, belief systems or daily habits, we often do not see the results of these changes immediately. This is why it’s so important to learn the power of faith and how to develop it so we can find the persistence to continue until we see results.
One of the best books I’ve studied in my personal journey and still study today is Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich.” In his book, Napoleon describes the importance of faith perfectly.
Essentially, faith, combined with thought, is the force that sends your goals and desires into the Universe. When you express the desire to make a change or accomplish a goal, your faith in your ability to achieve success becomes the motivation and direction behind those thoughts. Once the Universe becomes aware of what you want, it then provides you with the opportunities, resources and strength you need to accomplish goals.
Without faith, your desires and goals are just thoughts, drifting in the Universe, with nothing to elevate them–to make them any more important than other thoughts. Can you see why it’s so vital that our beliefs and actions are rooted in faith?
Unfortunately, faith is sometimes one of the hardest ideas to hold onto, even though it is one of the most important. But it is possible to increase faith in your power to achieve anything you’ve set your mind to. Building your faith in yourself and your goals is a simple process, but not always easy, which is one reason I am so dedicated to helping others through my Thinking Into Results program where we study Napoleon Hill’s masterpiece, “Think and Grow Rich.”
The only way to increase faith, if you don’t feel yours strongly at the moment, is to verbally and purposely affirm your goals and beliefs. Tell yourself every day that you are capable of running that marathon, or building a strong business, or that you can make more time for self-care.
When you first begin, you may underestimate the impact the process is actually having on the results you’re seeing in your life. But over time, repeated affirmations will create faith in your mind and soul, and you will see that you can achieve any goal you set. You are a powerful force, guided by intuition and moved forward by faith.
Think of one of the goals you’ve set for the new year. Choose a mantra or sentence, like for example “I am preparing at least one meal, each day, to nourish my body and soul,” “Money flows easily and effortlessly into my life”, “I acknowledge my own self worth and my confidence is soaring”, “My ability to conquer my challenges excites me and my potential to succeed is infinite”, and tell yourself this, each morning and night. If you’d like, write it down too!
Do you already have an affirmation that’s been working for you this year, or a brand new one you’re ready with for the new year ahead? I would love to hear it in the comments!
Much love and gratitude,
