At the beginning of December, your mind is probably on Christmas, mine certainly is! But it’s not too early to start peeking into 2015 and deciding what the next year has in store. In fact, now is the perfect time to take control of 2015 and plan your success and happiness.
Imagine the coming year as a brand new chance to reach all your goals, to live your dreams and to create the life for yourself that you crave. What sorts of actions would you take to make sure that you successfully improved your life circumstances? Would you exercise more? Spend more time with family? Would you change your job or living situation?
Embracing the new year may not mean that you can quit your job, relocate, take a trip around the world or suddenly be available to devote all of your time to family, but it does mean taking control of what you can change, setting goals to guide your life to purpose and contentment. Even if you find yourself perfectly happy at this very moment, there is value in creating a plan, setting goals and building a strong, loving foundation for lasting fulfilment.
If we don’t make plans and set goals, we become stale. Just like in nature, we’re always growing. This life is such a precious gift, and we don’t want to take it for granted. Enlighten your soul, keep the fire in your belly and create the life you want to create. Why wait until the new year? Give yourself plenty of time to contemplate, set goals and adjust your sights for 2015, and welcome the new year with clear intentions and a path to success.
What does your 2015 look like? We are still in 2014, so this vision is a blank slate for you to fill with desires, goals and dreams. Nothing has happened in 2015. It is your year to do with as you wish. Gently close your eyes, and allow your mind to intuitively guide you. Make a mental note of where this takes you. What are you hearing? What are you seeing? Do certain themes, goals or wishes appear more than once?
As you notice these thoughts and goals, write them down. Focus on your intuition, that voice deep inside that we’ve learned to tune into. Trust this voice, it is the source of your true self and the only path to living the life you want. Resist any fear you may be hearing from your little girl/boy voice, and instead act on that intuitive, internal guidance coming from deep within. How can you turn these pure, fearless thoughts into real change in your life? If you’ve found your thoughts return to appreciating yourself, what sorts of actions can you take to move toward this goal? Perhaps meditating once each day, or dedicating time for leisure once a week can serve as goals for your new year.
As you process all these desires in your life, really listen to your creative mind, search all the tools you’ve received and begin to set clear, healthy goals for the year, 2015. What will you achieve this year? What plans will you set in motion?
Working towards goals is a wonderful step in everyone’s life, so I encourage you to share one or two of these goals in the comments below if you are comfortable. Sharing and gaining support is one of the most effective ways of reaching what you desire.
Much love and gratitude,
