The topic I am going to talk about today is something I am very passionate about, once you understand and experience the benefits first hand from this way of healing, you will be right on board with my passion around this topic.
Let’s begin with a beautiful affirmation; ‘I allow myself to feel’.
Are there emotions from your past that you’re still holding onto? Are you afraid or confronted by the thought to feel these emotions?
Healing suppressed emotion from the past is my most passionate topic in regards to healing.
One of my favourite sayings; Imagine an apple, growing on a tree. What happens if a worm finds its way inside this apple? Would this help or hurt the apple? Now, imagine that the worm stays in the apple whilst the apple continues to grow. How much progress can this apple make toward becoming a healthy, ripe apple, if the worm is still alive inside?
Feelings do not go away until they are felt. They’re like the worm inside the apple, if you ignore the worm long enough it will cause you anxiety, depression, disease and unexplained health issues.
To live a healthy, fulfilling life where everything is in flow, an important step to take is becoming aware of any suppressed emotions in order to consciously release them from your body. Suppressing feelings, instead of accepting, allowing them to move through the body and releasing them, can have an impact years later in your life and you may not always be able to make the connection.
This is why it is so important to bring stillness into everyday. Inner stillness is uncomfortable at times, the reason being is because there is suppressed emotion that hasn’t been felt and released from the body, from childhood or life experiences that felt too confronting and overwhelming at the time.
Your uncomfortable feelings are beautiful, these feelings are your body talking to you. Your body is so intelligent, it’s talking to you all day everyday, giving you signs of love. The signs of love is that your body is ready to heal and release the suppressed emotion, so it can start to thrive in existence of balance, harmony and feel a deep sense of love within.
Are there any events or emotions from your past that may be causing negative or uncomfortable effects on your mind and body? Don’t be afraid to feel these emotions, once you have felt them layer by layer you will start to feel a deep sense of relief. It’s confronting at the start, once you get used to this way of healing you will be inspired by it. Once you start to form a new habit of surrendering to your suppressed emotion, you will start to gain clarity of the mind, more confidence and you will begin to step into your true potential.
